Nothing goes to waste at our landscape supply yard! Our natural brown mulch is a mixture of logs, bush and branches that are mulched onsite with a tub grinder. After one year of aging, the end product is a mulch with a fine texture and a dark brown color.

Sweet Peet® Organic Mulch

Sweet Peet® is a premium, one-hundred percent organic mulch for flower and vegetable gardens that enriches soil, improves tilth and encourages earthworm activity and replenishes microbes that are often destroyed by harsh chemicals or acid rain. Weed and weed seeds have been destroyed, so the mulch does not contaminate your garden. Learn more at the company’s website.

Additional Information

  • Mulch is a versatile landscaping material essential for maintaining healthy outdoor spaces. Our selection of dyed and natural mulches is commonly used for moisture retention in garden beds, weed suppression in large landscaping projects, and protecting plant roots from temperature fluctuations. From decorative finishing for walkways to playground areas, we provide the right mulch for any residential or commercial application in the Hudson Valley.

  • How much mulch do I need for my landscaping project?

A common recommendation is to apply mulch at a depth of about 2–3 inches. Our cubic yard calculator can help estimate how much mulch you need based on the size of your garden beds or landscaping areas.

Do you offer mulch delivery in the Hudson Valley?

Yes. Tantillo Landscape Supplies provides mulch delivery throughout Gardiner, New Paltz, Wallkill, Highland, Kingston, Newburgh, and nearby Hudson Valley towns within our delivery area.

What type of mulch lasts the longest?

Dyed mulches such as red, black, and brown mulch typically retain their color longer, while natural mulch gradually blends into the soil and improves soil structure over time.

What is the difference between natural mulch and dyed mulch?

Natural mulch is made from aged wood material and has a dark brown color. Dyed mulches are color-enhanced to provide long-lasting visual contrast for landscaping projects.

Can contractors and landscapers buy mulch in bulk?

Yes. Many contractors and professional landscapers purchase bulk mulch from our yard in Gardiner for residential and commercial landscaping projects across the Hudson Valley.

  • In addition to mulch, we also supply stone, sand, topsoil, and other landscaping materials for projects across the Hudson Valley.
